About

Daniel KriegerI am a writer, photographer and reporter with over a decade of journalistic experience. I have written about a wide range of topics that highlight life in New York and Japan and also wrote a number of personal narratives. My work has appeared in a variety of publications, including the New York Times, Slate, Salon, Wired, Fast Company, New York Magazine, New York Observer and Narratively. For many years, I was also an ESL teacher, most recently at Columbia University's American Language Program, and I have a class up at Skillshare: How to Craft a Personal Narrative. I grew up in New York City, have lived in Japan, Argentina and Colombia as well as California and Texas, and speak Spanish and Japanese. I welcome story tips and comments on my pieces.
